Reflection and Identity
Our developing strand, ‘Reflection and Identity’ aims to bring people together through arts and culture across the borough, and throughout London to celebrate diversity, help people feel they belong and help create inclusive communities.
What We Do
We want to connect people through arts and culture, especially communities whose voices aren’t always heard.
By working closely with local people, we aim to celebrate the borough’s diversity and strengthen belonging and pride in where we live.
What We’re Doing
- Getting more people involved – we want everyone to feel welcome and able to take part in arts and cultural activities.
- Bringing communities closer together – our programmes help people connect and build stronger, more supportive communities.
- Creating together – we don’t just design programmes for communities – we create with communities to ensure they reflect people’s experiences and stories.
- Building shared ownership – we want local people to feel that cultural spaces and projects belong to them.
- Shaping inclusive places – we use arts and culture to help create welcoming neighbourhoods where everyone feels they belong.
