At Orleans House Gallery, we create space for students and educators to engage with art and culture beyond the classroom. Working with artists and our team, students explore ideas through making, discussion, and critical reflection in a unique and inspiring setting.
We welcome partnerships with colleges and universities and can shape sessions or projects to support your course aims. These experiences support active learning, helping students connect theory with real-world contexts and develop a deeper understanding of their subject.
Colleges
We welcome partnerships with colleges and sixth forms. We can work with you to shape sessions, placements, or collaborative projects that respond to your course aims. This can include:
- Artist-led workshops and practical sessions linked to course themes
- Curatorial and exhibition based industry briefs
- Critical discussion, interpretation, and independent research opportunities
- Creative Careers insight into working in galleries and the wider cultural sector
Universities
We work in partnership with universities to offer opportunities for students to gain professional experience and insight into the cultural sector. This can include placements, project work, artist collaborations, and research partnerships.
Students can develop practical skills, explore careers, and engage with audiences, gaining valuable experience beyond their course through:

- Insight into careers in the cultural sector
We work closely with teacher training and PGCE students, offering sessions that explore creative approaches to teaching and learning. Through gallery-based experiences, trainees can:
- develop confidence in using art and creative practice within the classroom
- explore ways to support pupil voice, creativity, and inclusive learning
- reflect on pedagogical approaches through observation and discussion
- gain practical ideas and strategies to take back into school settings
