New Artist Opportunity for Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival

Our partner, Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival, has launched a new artist opportunity! The festival is seeking artists, creatives and collectives that live or work in the Richmond Borough. Contribute to the impressive festival programme with your art project, event, exhibition or activity. Be part of the vibrant, thought-provoking celebration that takes over Richmond. 

Help transform our streets and venues (London Borough of Richmond) with your film, music, dance, exhibitions, theatre, and more. The Open Call is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work in a major cultural event and receive funding to bring your idea to fruition.  

The theme that unites the 2025 festival and all its events is Cultural Reforesting. Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival is looking for innovative artistic contributions that address how we can renew our relationship with nature amidst the ecological crises of our time.

Selected Artists Receive:  

Support: Receive funding of up to £1000 to produce and deliver your proposal. This includes an artist fee and production. We have relationships with organisations across the borough and can support you with securing an indoor or outdoor venue for your event/activity/exhibition.  

Visibility: Gain exposure through the festival’s marketing and public relations efforts.   

Platform: Showcase your existing work in a major cultural event, contributing to a larger dialogue about the ecological crisis. 

Who can apply?  

• Artists, creatives and collectives in any art form  

• You must live or work in the London Borough of Richmond  

• Your proposal must be in line with the Cultural Reforesting theme

• Application deadline: Monday 2 September 

• Selection panel: September 2024   

• Announcement: October 2024   

• Festival dates: June 13 – 29 June 2025
