Calling Artists and Artist Facilitators to develop new workshops for our Education Programme

Orleans House Gallery is currently recruiting freelance artist facilitators to devise new workshops for our popular Education Programme.

The Education offer currently consists of two artist-led drawing workshops and a series of self-guided tours. We are looking to add to the offer for schools for the start of the 2023-24 academic year.

There are two roles and applicants are welcome to apply for both or only one.

The workshops are:

Printmaking

We are looking to develop a session for Key Stages 1 and 2, and possibly early Key Stage 3 which will explore printmaking.  The activity will link to the National Curriculum and to the Orleans House Gallery programme.

Early Years

We are recruiting a freelance artist to develop a new artist-led early years workshop specifically for children aged 3-5 years at nursery or in reception. The workshop should be lively and creative and support the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) through visiting Orleans House Gallery.

Both sessions will need to be flexible to adapt to the needs of SEND students.  The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting with the team, researching, devising the plan and a training programme for sharing this with the facilitators.

For the full details of both roles, please download the brief:

The deadline for these roles is on Monday 28 November at 9am.  Interviews will either be the week of the 5 or 12 December.

This is a paid, freelance role and we are keen to work with artists from a variety of backgrounds with different skills, stories, and experiences. Applications are encouraged regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.
