Announcing Emerging Artists Programme 22.23: Mandeep Dillon
We are excited to announce the artists selected to be part of the 2022- 2023 Emerging Artists Programme, designed for early-career artists in the first 10 years of their development. We had a total of 75 applications from artists and collectives from all over the world.
The successful artists will exhibit their work at Orleans House Gallery from August 2022 until April 2023, transforming it into a vibrant space where they will be able to learn, engage and experiment with our visitors.
We are looking forward to working with Anna Blom, Pía Ortuño, Bianca Rafaella, Mandeep Dillon and Rudy Loewe and continuing to support artists at exciting points in their careers.
Today we are introducing Mandeep Dillon who will exhibiting the show Objects of Disquiet at Orleans House Gallery from 27 August to 9 October 2022. Look out for profiles on the rest of the emerging artists in the coming weeks.
Using sculpture and collage Mandeep Dillon’s practice draws on a personal malaise to explore the fragility and vulnerability of human and non-human bodies.
She completed an MA in sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 2019. Before graduating, Mandeep was a creative director and also documentary film producer making programmes about conflict, natural disasters and environmental issues in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
