DESCRIPTION:A show exploring the idea of human residue. \nWhat do we le
 ave behind and what story does it tell?  \n\nHuman debris can be phys
 ical or emotional\, ephemeral or permanent\, but it always tells a story
  of what has been. Can it also reveal what is to come?\n\nIn this joint 
 exhibition Anna Blom and Pía Ortuño create a dialog around discarded e
 motions and derelict objects. They aim to understand our existence a lit
 tle bit better from what has been left behind.  \n\nThis exhibition i
 s part in Orleans House Gallery’s 2022-2023 Emerging Artists Programme
 \, designed for early-career artists in the first 10 years of their deve
 lopment.\n\n\n\n\nAnna Blom is a Swedish born\, London based artist who
  recently completed a Masters in Painting at the Royal College of Art. 
 She holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Fine Art Painting from UAL W
 imbledon College of Arts (2020) and has curated\, led and participated
  in a number of group exhibitions and independent solo installations i
 n the UK\, including at 24 Cork Street and Copeland Gallery. Anna divid
 es her practice between her south London studio and Stockholm\, where s
 he works in an interdisciplinary manner combining painting\, drawing\, s
 ound\, words and found objects.\n\nAnna Blom’s Website \n\n\n@annablo
 ominghell\n\nPía Ortuño (b. 1996 San José) is a Costa Rican artist c
 urrently living and working in London. She graduated from the University
  of Costa Rica with a BA in fine arts (2019) and later moved to Pietras
 anta\, Italy to work and learn ancient marble and bronze techniques. She
  apprenticed under Jimenez Deredia in his Carrara studio and worked at 
 the Fonderia Artistic Mariani (2020). Currently attending the Royal Co
 llege of Art\, Pía is pursuing her Masters in painting and is the c
 o-founder of Sala Salon (2020). Her work has been exhibited internationa
