SUMMARY:Remember the Future Ideas Hub
DESCRIPTION:Over the course of 2021 and beyond\, we are opening up Orl
 eans House Gallery. Artists\, scientists and researchers will explore 
 our buildings\, woodland and ecosystem to investigate how we can renew o
 ur relationship with nature. Our Ideas Hub is for you to come and share
  your thoughts\, to ask questions of us\, artists\, and each other\, and
  most crucially to lend your creativity to this issue that affects all o
 f us.   \n\nIn the Hub you will find: \n\nEloise Moody and Vicky Lon
 g’s Research Studio  \n\nThe Ideas Hub will be filled with research 
 and explorations made by artists Eloise Moody and Vicky Long as part of 
 their residency on site and in the grounds. Investigating how we might s
 end ideas and stories about our relationship with nature 7 generations i
 nto the future.   \n\nThe Ecosystem Plan  \n\nOrleans House Gallery
  is working with other council departments\, artists\, other species a
 nd ecologists on a 10-year plan for the galleries surrounding grounds. W
 e want you to play a part in how this plan develops. How might our ecosy
 stem change over this timeframe? What would you like to see in this plan
 ?  \n\nA Borough Art Collection of Life  \n\nIn the hub you will fin
 d works from the Richmond Borough Art Collection\, held and managed by
  Orleans House Gallery\, that show how throughout the past we have frame
 d and interpreted our ecosystems\, from artistic to engineering and fina
 ncial. We invite you to contribute your thoughts as to how our collectio
 n could speak to the need for a deeper relationship with those with whom
  we share these grounds. Should a recently fallen 70-year-old Silver Bir
 ch tree be elevated into our collection?   \n\nHope(H)anger  \n\nHo
 pe (H)anger is an invitation inspired by the Wishing Wall in Jerusalem
 \, encouraging you to consider your hope for reforestation. Hope (H)an
 ger starts with 7 tree branches foraged from the garden at Orleans
  House Gallery. By ‘hanging’ your hope – and not anger! – on t
 his tree of life\, you are invited to take a step towards re-connecting 
 with Nature.   \n\nMyriam Crété is a French-born Londoner. She is
  a visual storyteller\, conceptual artist and interdisciplinary design
 er. Curating experiential relational installations\, she engages the pub
 lic through meaningful creative stories. By using ordinary materials and
  giving them a new purpose\, she captures and highlights their beauty. 
  \n\nHabitats &amp\; Heritage Photography Competition: Celebrating your
  photos of Nature and Heritage in South and West London (from 26 August)
   \n\nLast year\, local charity Habitats &amp\; Heritage invited peopl
 e\, young and old\, to submit their best local snaps. They wanted to hel
 p inspire others to discover new places on their doorstep.   \n\nMany
  local residents enjoyed short strolls around our parks and open spaces 
 last year and found inspiration. Photography enthusiasts\, professionals
  and amateurs\, took part in this competition. Some photos were taken wi
 th professional cameras and some with mobile phones. All the photographs
  submitted are a tribute to the wonderful natural landscape and local he
 ritage around us. The photos capture a small sample of what helped keep 
 our spirits up during a difficult time.   \n\nPresented in The Ideas 
 Hub are the top 3 entries as voted for by the public from this year’s 
 Photography Competition.    \n\nTo see all the entries please visit
