Join us to witness Rainforest Lifelines, a ceremonial gathering of Indigenous rainforest defenders from Sarawak, Malaysia, alongside European allies. This event is a powerful expression of solidarity and resilience, communicating the urgent need to protect threatened rainforests and homelands in Borneo and beyond.

The ceremony will last 60–90 minutes and will include song, storytelling, and moments of collective reflection. You are welcome to come and go quietly during the performance, and to bring a picnic blanket to sit on while you watch outside, weather permitting. Drinks will be available from the on-site café.

A programme will be available on the day with further details about the performance and the groups involved.

“Rainforest Lifelines has been co-created with our Sarawakian friends, whose lead has ensured that the ceremony respects Indigenous cultural traditions and Peoples. We are deeply grateful for their shared wisdom and guidance.” – Gaby Solly, Artist and Creative Director of Rainforest Lifelines

Rainforest Lifelines is organised by Clean Up the Tropical Timber Trade (CUT UK) and is part of the events programme running alongside Cultural Reforesting. CUT UK is a campaign which works to amplify the voices of Indigenous rainforest Peoples, so that they are heard, responded to and respected by UK consumers, businesses and our government. CUT is made up of SAVE Rivers Network and Keruan Organisation in Sarawak, supported by Friends of the Earth in the UK and Malaysia, and Bruno Manser Fonds in Switzerland.
