Join us as we open the doors for the first time on the Cultural Reforesting exhibition. This new exhibition shares works from artists in our Cultural Reforesting programme responding to the ecological crisis.
At the opening celebration, you’ll discover the research and work of the 18 different artists involved alongside a live performance from artist Mónica Alcázar-Duarte.
The exhibition places culture at the centre of the ecological movement, bringing together a group of artists and local people with the woodland and gardens of Orleans House Gallery’s and all who share its ecosystem.
Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
Book your free tickets in advance.
About Cultural Reforesting
Cultural Reforesting is an arts programme led by Richmond Arts Service and Orleans House Gallery. The programme brings communities and artists together to explore the question, how can we renew our relationship with nature through the arts?
Cultural Reforesting commissions artists to explore this question through on-going research, multi-disciplinary projects, participatory events and artworks. The innovative and collaborative work of this programme was recently recognised with an Honorary Mention by the EU Citizen Science Prize.
