DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon celebrating the work of artist-in-r
 esidence Dexter McLean and his new work developed during his residency a
 t Orleans House Gallery.\n\n\n\nDexter McLean is a London-based photogra
 pher whose work explores Black and disabled representation through self-
 portraiture. During his residency\, Dexter has responded to Ronald Moody
 's sculptures by creating a new series of photographs that reflect on id
 entity\, visibility and the ways Black disabled bodies are viewed and un
 derstood within art and society.\n\n\n\nDrawing inspiration from the pos
 es and forms of Moody's sculptures\, Dexter's work explores themes of be
 auty\, vulnerability\, strength\, sexuality and belonging. Through this 
 powerful new series\, he challenges assumptions about disability and rep
 resentation and shares personal reflections on his own experiences.\n\n\
