SUMMARY:Cultural Reforesting Opening Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we open the doors for the first time on the Cultu
 ral Reforesting exhibition. This new exhibition shares works from artist
 s in our Cultural Reforesting programme responding to the ecological cri
 sis.  \n\nAt the opening celebration\, you’ll discover the research 
 and work of the 18 different artists involved alongside a live performan
 ce from artist Mónica Alcázar-Duarte. \n\nThe exhibition places cultu
 re at the centre of the ecological movement\, bringing together a group 
 of artists and local people with the woodland and gardens of Orleans Hou
 se Gallery’s and all who share its ecosystem.  \n\nBeer\, wine and no
 n-alcoholic drinks will be available.  \n\n \n\nBook your free ticket
 s in advance.  \n\n \n\nAbout Cultural Reforesting \n\nCultural Refo
 resting is an arts programme led by Richmond Arts Service and Orleans Ho
 use Gallery. The programme brings communities and artists together to ex
 plore the question\, how can we renew our relationship with nature throu
 gh the arts? \n\nCultural Reforesting commissions artists to explore th
 is question through on-going research\, multi-disciplinary projects\, pa
 rticipatory events and artworks. The innovative and collaborative work o
 f this programme was recently recognised with an Honorary Mention by the
  EU Citizen Science Prize.
