SUMMARY:Breaking Ground
DESCRIPTION:How can we build a better world: more sustainable\, more inc
lusive and more equal? Artists living and working in the borough of Rich
mond Upon Thames explore this question in a transformational exhibition.
\n\nA global pandemic has brought in its wake personal tragedies\, new p
olitical narratives and seismic changes to the ways we live and work. Th
ere’s never been a moment like this before.\n\nAnd it’s an opportuni
ty like no other for a fresh start. In this exhibition\, artists from ac
ross the borough come together to explore new ways of thinking and being
\, based on what really matters.\n\nWhat might the new normal look like
for society? How can communities create much-needed change? What could t
he future hold?\n\nThis exhibition shares local reflections on these que
stions\, investigating the most pressing issues we face. Each artwork on
display is original\, for sale\, and made in the borough.
