After Summer, Half: Opening Celebration and Performance

Join us for the Opening Celebration of After Summer, Half, an exhibition by artist Mingzhang Sun. This is an opportunity to celebrate the exhibition and meet the artist in person.  

This event will also feature a live performance of Half from 2-2.30pm. 

The live performance of Half serves as extension of Mingzhang’s series of paintings by the same name. He says, “The paintings explore the parts of ourselves that are ambiguous to us; the live performance explores the ambiguity of others.” Together we will explore relationships and their tangled web of connections, conflicts, understandings and misunderstandings. 

Through painting and performance, Mingzhang calls us to ask, what can other people teach us about ourselves? Can another person illuminate our interior worlds? All relationships end, and when they do, what are we left with? 

This is a free, ticketed event. Light refreshments will be provided. Reserve your place.
